In this time of recession, many businesses are cutting corners and services. I would like to thank your company and especially Tim Breindel for your excellent service.
Because we were so pleased with your doors and installation at our business building in the Brewer Industrial Park, we contacted Tim about one for our downstairs garage at home. It is an odd size and a difficult location to install. Within 5 days after talking with Tim, the door was in place and working perfectly.
Last summer we had to replace our upstairs garage floor. The door downstairs works so well we decided to replace the 2 upstairs ones. We again contacted Tim, and again within a week the doors were in place. We had a little problem with one closing properly. Tim himself came and checked it and took care of it right away.
You have an excellent service and sales department. Keep up the good work..................
Sincerely Ruth M. Whitten |

Mark Talon and Bernie Dahl opened the Overhead Door distributorship in 1980 because both experienced the frustrations of poor quality and unreliable suppliers in the garage door arena. Overhead Door pioneered the overhead lift door technology: the product itself has become synonymous with the Overhead Door brand name.
While much of Overhead Door Company of Bangor's business is in installation and subsequent service, Talon has noticed the increase in retail foot traffic through its showroom. It also enjoys a good relationship with architects and engineering firms regionally.
One of the reasons for Overhead Door Company of Bangor's success has been its employees. "We believe in training personnel to provide quality service. They take national certification courses, said Dahl. The business itself is accredited with the International Door Association, and IDEA, International Door Education Association. Talon feels this assures customers that they'll receive the most professional, knowledgeable, reputable service. Our biggest reason for our success is behind our motto: Safety, Quality and Professionalism. |

With prior experience "hand-on" experience in the construction industry and professional training in Accounting and Finance, Mark teamed-up with Bernie Dahl in early 1979 to help manage and expand the American Metal Building franchise company. A garage door division soon sprang forth from this relationship.
At a young age and throughout high school Mark worked alongside his dad (a master auto mechanic), and acquired many skills and a love of working with his hands. Mark worked in the carpentry field while in college earning his BA from Bentley College in 1970 and a masters from Husson College in 1996. Click to read more. |
